Hylofit Heart Rate Monitor

The heart is an important indicator of fitness and impact of wellbeing. The more you train with heart rate, the better you can understand the impact of work load versus stress and pain. Tracking your horses sessions on the treadmill will enable us to adjust the levels of incline and water to improve fitness without undue stress and then to monitor progress with scientific technology as well as with the trained, experienced eye.
Informed training and well-being
Resting heart rate (RHR) is a good measure of readiness to train. Changes to RHR can be an indication of overexertion, stress or pain. Initially anxiety and/or excitement of going onto the treadmill can have a significant impact on heart rate however over a short period the readings become accurate and of great help.
Heart rate acts as the voice of the horse, providing critical information to improve training results. We use Hylofit to establish a RHR baseline for your horse at the beginning of each treadmill session. Whilst at rest and on the treadmill, your horse’s heart rate tells a story. We monitor changes to the horses heart rate during each session to help us make appropriate adjustments to the levels used in treadmill training. Knowing when to push, when to hold back and when to rest can be critical for building fitness, maximising performance and preventing injury.

FMBS Massage
Rug
The FMBS Activomed Massage rug is a dual therapy rug, combining powerful Pulsed Electromagnetic Therapy (PEMF) with deep massage. It covers the main muscle groups in the horse from poll to tail, and can be used daily to support performance as part of your warm up / cool down routine. It is excellent for horses in rehabilitation, or with specific stiffness, injuries or general maintenance.

Ice Boots
Ice Horse Ice Boots are an excellent product for horse owners and riders who are looking for an effective and efficient cooling solution for their horses' legs, feet, stifles, and back. The ice packs are designed to freeze like snow, making them easy to mold into the limbs, and they hold the cold for up to two hours, providing long-lasting cold therapy. The packs are also seam-free, which ensures even cold therapy around the leg.

At Equine Aqua Power our rehabilitation facilities include the Ice Horse range. The boots are made using breathable non-neoprene material to ensure that compression is applied at the same time as the ice packs are held in the perfect position. The fastenings are strong, durable, and easy to use, making the product easy to apply and remove.
Hurricane Machine
At Equine Aqua Power we take our bio-security and hygiene seriously. We ensure our treadmill room and machine are sanitised daily to ensure a first class experience for each and every horse.
Our hurricane machine is the most effective means of ensuring fast-acting decontamination of internal areas, surfaces and equipment. An industrial spec machine – disinfectant is applied through a fogging system which sanitises both surfaces and the air itself through micro-droplets of disinfectant that remain on surfaces for an extended period of time, providing long-lasting protection. Covering approx 20sq/m in approx 2 minutes we are able to ensure a consistently hygienic environment for our clients and horses.
For our human guests have access to bathrooms and hand sanitiser at every entrance.
